The Dillinger Escape Plan Announce Brooklyn Reunion Show

The Dillinger Escape Plan: Calculating 25

The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced their first concert since disbanding in 2017. The reunion show will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024, at New York’s Brooklyn Paramount. The band—featuring co-founder and original singer Dimitri Minakakis, founding guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Liam Wilson, and drummer Billy Rymer—will play 1999’s Calculating Infinity in full to celebrate the album’s 25th anniversary. See a poster for the concert below.

“It’s been a long time coming for this opportunity to perform in a project I helped create over 25 years ago,” Dimitri Minakakis said in a press release. “Having the chance to celebrate 25 years of Calculating Infinity with my closest friends in life is just a dream turned real. I’m looking forward to seeing all the old faces, as well as all the new ones. The Dillinger Escape Plan has always been more than just a band. We were a force of nature. This reunion show is our way of thanking the fans who have stood by us and the album we made in a small basement in NJ all those years ago.”

Minakakis co-founded the Dillinger Escape Plan with Ben Weinman and others in 1997. He left the band in 2001, replaced by vocalist Greg Puciato. In 2016, the Dillinger Escape Plan said they would be going on an “extended hiatus” after the release of the album Dissociation. They ultimately played three “final” shows in December 2017 at New York’s Terminal 5, with Minakakis joining for the last two concerts.
