Justin Timberlake Announces First Album Since 2018, Shares Video for New Song “Selfish”: Watch

Justin Timberlake: Everything I Thought It Was

Justin Timberlake is making a comeback. The pop singer will release Everything I Thought It Was, his first album since 2018’s Man of the Woods, on March 15 via RCA. The new album’s lead single, “Selfish,” comes with a music video directed by prominent SZA collaborator Bradley J. Calder. Watch the new visual below.

Timberlake wrote “Selfish” with Louis Bell, Cirkut, Theron Thomas, and Amy Allen, and he co-produced the single with Bell and Cirkut. Speaking about his new album with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Timberlake said, “I think there are moments that are incredibly honest, but, also, there’s a lot of fucking fun on this album.”

This weekend, Timberlake is performing on a Saturday Night Live episode hosted by Dakota Johnson. “I flirted with the idea of, should I host or ask to host? And then I just thought, ‘No, this album is really special to me in a different, different way,’” Timberlake told Lowe. “And, yeah, you read that perfectly, but I also cannot imagine that I won’t get pulled into a sketch or two. It’s only natural. And I’m here for it. That’s always fun. SNL, for me, in any capacity. I’ve hosted five, but I don’t even know how many times I’ve been on the show.”
