I’m 70 but everyone says I look half my age – you’re never too old for leather shorts and a bralette, they’re sexy

Faye Browne doesn't let age stop her from dressing how she wants

A 70-YEAR-OLD influencer has hit back at societal expectations that she shouldn’t be donning skimpy outfits.

Getting dolled up for her platinum birthday celebrations, Faye Browne slipped into a cut-out black bodycon dress with high legs lit and open back.

She paired the barely-there frock with statement silver jewellery, high heels and an orange top-handle handbag.

“Every single birthday I’ve had, I’ve gone for something a little bit sexy because it’s feminine,” she said, posing in the ensemble on TikTok.

“And why not?

“Just because I’m 70, I’m not going backwards.

“Of course, my accessory is not my bag – it’s my beautiful husband.”

Faye added that “turning 70 is so much fun” as she revealed her “big night out had arrived” following a series of celebrations for the age milestone.

For the last few years, the mature influencer has been encouraging other women to embrace their bodies – no matter their age.

She believes that “the older she gets, the better she gets”.

The bio on her TikTok profile even reads: “Think I’m too old for leather shorts and a bralette?

“70s are the best years.”

Faye has totted up nearly 15,000 followers on the video sharing app, with hundreds struggling to believe her age.

“Ummm, we need your secrets because you look great,” Chicago-based Haleigh commented on the birthday video.

“Get out!” Melbourne-based Simone added.

“I don’t believe you’re 70.

“Oh my god, you’re stunning.”

She’s not just an influencer either: Faye is the founder and Creative Director of Australia-based fashion label, Motto Fashions.

While working as a buyer for one of down under’s most successful retail fashion chains, Faye met her husband John, 73.

After several years of working together, the pair decided to follow their passion and start their own fashion brand, which is co-managed by their daughter Lauren.
