Singer Britney Spears is firing back at her ex-husband Kevin Federline over comments he made in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer was married to K-Fed from 2004 to 2007. They have two teenage sons: Jayden James and Sean Preston. In addition to saying that her sons haven’t seen their mom in months, Kevin also said that her dad, Jamie Spears, is welcome back into the boys’ lives.

K-Fed took things one step further, alleging that Jamie “really cared” about his family, even going as far as to say that Jamie “saved her life” through the controversial conservatorship. That clearly didn’t sit right with Britney, who fired back a fiery reply shortly after the interview broke.

Britney Spears Says The Drama With Her Boys Started ‘LONG Before Instagram’

Britney first took to her Instagram Stories to share a short message. “It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children,” she wrote. “As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone.”

“It concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram,” she continued. “It was LONG before Instagram.”

Britney continues to say “I gave them everything” before adding that it boils down to “only one word: HURTFUL … I’ll say it … My mother told me ‘You should GIVE them to their dad’ … I’m sharing this because I can … Have a good day folks !!!”

Britney didn’t clarify when the exchange with her mother took place. After their divorce, K-Fed fought for fifty percent custody of the child, but was awarded sole physical custody of the two children one month before the conservatorship began.

In a longer post, Britney took aim at their step-mom, Victoria, an accomplished volleyball player that has been married to K-Fed for about nine years now.

“In addition to what I said on my story … As their step mom says ‘whatever is happening outside this home has nothing to do with this home,’” Britney began, quoting a line from the Daily Mail article that reads:

“This is a normal home, a family… full of love,” Victoria tells me. “Whatever is happening outside has nothing to do with this home.”

Britney continued, “I would like to share the DOOR to outside is a token to the WHITE GATES I’ve been kept from for 15 years … the conservatorship has only been over for 8 months !!! Being able to cash FROM THE OUTSIDE world for the first time is EXTREMELY ENLIGHTENING.”

“Are we equal now ??? As in even equality ???” Britney asks. “Reminder that the trauma and insults that come with fame and this business not only affect me but my children as well !!!!”

“I’m only human and I’ve done my best,” she wrote, before adding, “I honestly would like to share my TWO CENTS !!!! I daringly would like for the Federline’s to watch the BIG BOOTY VIDEO !!!” Other artists have made much worse when their children were extremely young !!!!”

Britney ended her post with another short slide that read, “During my conservatorship, I was controlled and monitored for nearly 15 years … I needed permission just to take Tylenol !!!”

“I should embark on doing WAAAY more than going topless on the beach like a baby !!!” she continued. “I’m not surprised that just as my family did their share of interviews, they will too. I’m not surprised at all with their behavior and their approach to what I’ve had to deal with !!!”

During his recent interview with the Daily Mail, Kevin Federline alleged that part of the reason why her sons want to keep their distance from her is due to her social media posts, which include repetitive throwback photos and, more recently, NSFW content.

“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,’” Kevin explained. “But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.” He added, “I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”
