Over the years, Daisy has been vocal about her hearing loss and has made a conscious effort to advocate for others.
In the preview video of The Bachelor she posted on her account, she spoke about her hearing loss saying: “I started losing my hearing when I was 17 years old.
“It was all because I had Lyme disease. I’ve learned how to turn something really difficult into something really positive.”
In another interview with CBS8, she also stated: “My hearing loss started as a lot of high-pitched ringing and then just progressively got worse, and I couldn’t understand speech very well.”
Daisy further commented during The Bachelor premiere: “I do feel overwhelmed, but I think it’s just because I can’t really hear that well with that much noise going on.
“I’m new to having a cochlear implant, and I didn’t think it would be this overwhelming for me.”
