Dua Lipa Shows Off Fit Figure During "Album Moments"

Dua Lipa is an icon and looks like one. You know her hits like “New Rules,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Levitating.” She’s set to release a new album this year, and has released singles like “Houdini” and “Training Season.” Lipa shared a video on Instagram this week. In it, she is seen swimming. She captioned it, “Album moments. I hear you…Feeling optimistic about this week.” We’re getting Mermaid Barbie vibes. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Dua Lipa stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Lipa shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview. She says that she does a variety of things to stay in shape. “When I have a tiny bit more time on my side I love mixing up lots of different training, finding different workouts in whatever city I’m in, whether it’s yoga, Pilates, boxing or spinning. Whatever it is, I try to change it up every day to keep things interesting. When you’re on a tour bus, every day and every place is different, so you never know what you’re going to find. That’s always one way to keep it interesting.”

In the same interview, Lipa talked about her diet. She says that she believes in having a balance with food. “I try and stay as healthy as possible whenever I can. I’m never one to stop myself having treats, I do love naughty treats. But I try and limit it to days when I’m not as busy, because if I do eat a doughnut it usually puts me in a food coma!”

Lipa has an amazing set of abs. And she naturally does a lot of ab workouts to get them. In the same interview, Lipa shared her go-to exercises. “I think different variations of crunches like bicycle crunches are good. Leg raises are also great unless my back hurts. Planks are good although almost certainly my least favourite!”

Lipa is a fan of HIIT. She tells Vogue, “It’s high-intensity interval training, but it’s so quick, it’s over before it’s even started!” Circle Health Group states that HIIT has a lot of benefits. “HIIT involves short bursts of intense exercise followed by brief periods of rest or lower-intensity exercise. During the high-intensity intervals, your heart rate and breathing rate increase substantially. Over time, this helps to improve your aerobic capacity, also known as VO2 max, which is the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. A higher VO2 max is associated with improved stamina and endurance.”

Lipa shared her daily schedule with Refinery29. She says that she likes to workout in the morning, specifically 8 am. “Whether it’s on Zoom, doing a workout with my friend Ella in L.A. who leads a kickass workout class called Sculpt With Ella, or with my best friend Bunny who comes over to train me on days when I’m feeling super lazy and need someone to get me motivated, getting physical really starts my day off right. I also love to do yoga, Pilates, or strength training. I like to leave my cardio workout to dancing.”
