Ben Affleck apparently isn’t the only man on Earth benefiting from his likely divorce from Jennifer Lopez, as reports indicate that Drake, one of Lopez’s old flings, is eager for the dissolution of their marriage, as well.
According to reports, Drake — who briefly dated J. Lo for a few months in late 2016 through early 2017 — is “ready and waiting” for Lopez to hit the open dating market again.
“Drake isn’t going to hook up with her while she’s still married,” an alleged source told InTouch Weekly. “He’d never cross that line. But once things are officially done with Ben [Affleck], he’ll be ready and waiting to show her a good time.”
“Jennifer’s always been one of Drake’s biggest crushes and he says that what they shared all those years ago was incredible… He never pushed for more then, but everyone knows he would have loved to seriously date her.”
Both Drake and Jennifer Lopez have had one of the most difficult years of their career in 2024 for differing reasons.
Drake, of course, has seen the entire public perception of him change after getting obliterated by Kendrick Lamar in the pair’s beef, while Lopez had to cancel the entirety of her summer tour following reports of low ticket sales.
The most recent albums released by Drake and Lopez — For All The Dogs and This Is Me… Now — were also on the receiving end of lukewarm critical reviews.
After being accused of “liking them young” Kendrick Lamar on the diss track “Not Like Us,” perhaps Drake is eyeing the 54-year-old Lopez to dispel that narrative.
Despite reports of Lopez and Affleck getting divorced, the pair still have professional commitments to one another as Lopez’s next movie, the sports drama Unstoppable, is being produced by Affleck’s production company Artists Equity. Her next movie after that, Kiss of the Spider Woman, is also being produced by Artists Equity.
