Dorothea Wierer in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Corsettina 🤪 6x1000”

The Italian biathlete, Dorothea Wierer, competed in the 2014 winter Olympics in Russia. Health, wellness, and fitness, is still a huge part of Wierer’s life. Dorothea posted on Instagram, “Corsettina 🤪 6×1000” as she’s seen running in her lime green workout gear. What else does she do to stay in shape and healthy? Here’s what we discovered about her wellness routine.

She starts her day with a workout. “Exercise first thing in the morning is not only great for keeping you in shape, but also for improving your mental well-being. It shakes the sleep out of your muscles and gives just the right amount of endorphins for a great start to the day, countering any stress. The early morning exercise plan which Dorothea Wierer suggests increases muscle length and flexibility,” as seen on Marlene.

She knows breakfast is an important part of the day. “To replace the minerals you lost during the physical activity, the ideal is, of course, a breakfast based on apples! Marlene® apples can become the main ingredient of your breakfast: from smoothies prepared with a hand blender to fresh, crisp apple pieces in your muesli,” as seen on Marlene. According to the Mayo Clinic, “a morning meal with these elements will help improve your concentration; provide nutrients important to your heart, bones and other systems; and may help control the amount of calories you take in later in the day.”

She listens to her body and strives for a balanced life. “It’s been a very demanding summer both concerning sports and non-sports activities, although I did find the right balance to keep both things separate. I had a couple of delays in preparation due to a few health problems, but now I’m ready,” she said to Pirelli. “Sport is all about hardship and effort, and it helps you listen to your body. As long as I have fun “suffering” this hardship, I will carry on. The day I no longer enjoy it, then I’ll think about hanging up my skis and rifle and doing something else.”

Finding a balance between control and skiing can be challenging. “That’s the secret of our discipline, which is partly mastered on skis, where your technique prevails, and the other part at the shooting range, where concentration and your ability to isolate yourself from the rest of the world make the difference,” she said to Pirelli.

She doesn’t really follow anything specific, but tries to eat healthy overall. “Do you follow a particular diet to stay in shape? Nothing special, let’s say it is a balanced diet, but I don’t stop myself from having a few sweet treats…,” she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, “the healthy habits and kinds of foods recommended on the Mayo Clinic Diet — including lots of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, beans, fish and healthy fats — can further reduce your risk of certain health conditions.”
