Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover have been attached to write a new Disney+ series focused on the Star Wars character Lando Calrissian, The Hollywood Reporter and Above the Line note. The deal was reportedly made before the writers strike; they’re stepping in after Justin Simien exited Lando. Donald Glover starred as Calrissian in the 2018 prequel Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The Glovers recently wrapped up Atlanta and now have an overall deal with Amazon, which released their series Swarm earlier this year (as well as the 2019 film Guava Island). Donald Glover recently shared the first teaser for his upcoming Amazon series Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
