Bunk’d’s success seemed to be destined, being that it was a spinoff of Jessie, another popular show that was on Disney.

However, after seven seasons, Bunk’d is getting the boot, Deadline reported on Friday.

The program was Disney Channel’s “longest-running live action,” the news outlet revealed.

Bunkd’s final ten episodes will air in 2024, concluding the last season.

Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, shared her feelings about the show ending with Deadline, just as many have online.

“With a fantastic cast of characters and hilarious and heartful storylines, it’s no wonder Bunk’d has been one of Disney Channel’s longest-running and successful live-action series,” Ayo said in a statement to Deadline.

“We’d like to thank our talented cast, creative team and crew for bringing tremendous joy and laughter to kids for seven incredible seasons.”

On X, formerly Twitter, Bunk’d viewers gave their two cents about the series being axed.

“End of an era. This is the longest-running Disney Channel Show and there will never be another like it,” one person wrote on the social media platform.

Another asked: “What? Why!”

However, others were all about the move as one simply reacted: “Finally!”

WRONG MOVE

Last month fans were outraged with the network for shutting down Saturdays.

Saturdays aired its series premiere in March and wrapped up with its Season 1 – and now series – finale in May.

After 15 episodes, the show’s run is over as no new episodes have been ordered, TVLine reports.

The outlet confirmed “the coming-of-age comedy, which aired in the spring (and even had a crossover with Raven’s Home), will not be returning for Season 2.”

They added of the reason for the cancelation: “Sources tell me that Disney Branded Television, though high on the single-camera comedy, is now focusing on building out its multicam strategy, Disney-owned IP, and global tentpole programming.”

COULD’VE BEEN A HIT

The series followed a teenager named Paris and her best friends, Simone and Ari, as they joined together to form the roller-skating crew, We-B-Girlz.

The trio practiced at the their local skating rink in Chicago, which holds the same name as the title of the show, and aimed for superstardom with their routines.

The show, which was executive produced by Black-ish actress Marsai Martin, starred Danielle Jalade as Paris, Daria Johns as Simone, and Peyton Basnight as Ari.

One angry fan blasted the decision: “I can’t believe it Saturdays is canceled after 1 season typical Disney channel for canceling such an amazing series!”

A second insisted: “I’m so disappointed that they cancelled it, this show should’ve had another season.”

Others wondered why “this keeps happening” and said it “really sucks” that this show was canceled.
