Destroy Boys have released their latest single, the anthemic ‘Plucked’.
The track – produced by Carlos De La Garza (whose credits include Paramore and The Linda Linda’s) – marks the Sacramento band’s first release of the year.
A beautiful, soaring single, it follows the release of ‘Shadow (I’m Breaking Down)’, which arrived last year and hit No. 30 on the Alternative Radio Chart in the US.
Have a listen to ‘Plucked’ below.
Speaking about the new track and what it signifies for them, the band have said:
“‘Plucked’ is an entry to a new era. It’s focused on freedom of expression & learning how to embrace your quirks. It’s ultimately just a little pop-rock banger.
“It’s super fun to play – we’re excited to play it live in future shows!”
Destroy Boys have a host of shows on the horizon, beginning this weekend with their third annual Destroyfest at The Bellwether in Los Angeles.
As well as Destroy Boys themselves, of course, the lineup also includes Illuminati Hotties, Kumo 99, NIIS, Ultra-Q, Jigsaw Youth, Chokecherry & J-Mont.
In May, they’ll be hitting the road for select headline dates in the US before a massive North American summer tour supporting Mother Mother and Cavetown, and then concluding the summer with a run of European festivals, including Reading & Leeds.
No doubt they’ll be bringing their head massager, crocs and incense with them – among the many items they deem essential for touring.
