Nobody, not even Tennessee Titans superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, could avoid falling for what star actress Sydney Sweeney called a “thirst trap” in a viral Instagram post on Friday.
Sweeney, who is the talk of the town in Hollywood these days, set the internet alight with photos from a recent wakeboarding trip.
“I think they call this a thirst trap,” she wrote in the caption.

Hopkins, meanwhile, just said what the rest of us were thinking when he decided to like the post (one of 4.2 million people to have liked it) and commented, simply, “trapped.”
Sweeney, meanwhile, is trying to strike a delicate balance between acknowledging her stunning good looks while avoiding being objectified at every turn.
“I see it, and I just can’t allow myself to have a reaction. I don’t know how to explain it – I’m still trying to figure it out myself,” Sweeney said in an interview with Variety.
“People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in whatever way they want, because they believe that I’ve signed my life away. That I’m not on a human level anymore, because I’m an actor,” she said. “That these characters are for everybody else, but then me as Sydney is not for me anymore. It’s this weird relationship that people have with me that I have no control or say over.”
The 26-year-old is seemingly the biggest star in Hollywood these days, starring in recent blockbusters such as Immaculate and Anyone But You.
Hopkins, meanwhile, is set to enter his 12th season in the NFL and his second with the Tennessee Titans. He had a resurgent season in 2023, catching 75 passes for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns while forming a strong connection with young quarterback Will Levis.
