Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the mention of a previously forgotten character could mean something. In the July 25 episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) brought up Melinda Trask’s (Tina Huang) daughter, Haley Chen (Thia Megia), in a conversation with Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman).
Li seemed affected by the news that Melinda had lost a child, so that might give Days an interesting angle to work.
What if Haley Chen is secretly still alive? Could Li be the one to reunite Melinda with her daughter down the road?
Haley was written off Days after the time jump when it was revealed that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) caused her to fall down a flight of stairs.
Melinda harbored a lot of rage toward Kristen because of that, but Kristen didn’t truly mean to harm Haley.
Now that Haley’s name is popping up again, is there a chance that she somehow survived after all? It’s always a possibility in a town like Salem, where people rise from the grave all the time.
Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) might’ve been looking for a test subject for some new version of his serum – or maybe he felt like he should try to help Kristen by reviving her victim if possible.
Of course, it’s hard to predict the outcome when you’re dealing with Dr. Rolf’s mad science, so it’s possible Haley has been on ice somewhere since then. Sometimes Dr. Rolf’s recoveries take longer than others.
Li knows Dr. Rolf pretty well, so he might be able to pry the truth out of him at some point.
If Li can get updates on where Haley was potentially stashed, it could set the stage for a DOOL shocker.
Then again, maybe Dr. Rolf could get caught on the run and use Haley as a bargaining chip.
There’d be no better way to get off the hook than to offer DA Trask her daughter back.
Naturally, Haley’s return would affect Tripp and Wendy’s relationship, too.
Although Tripp’s marriage to secure Haley’s green card ultimately ended, he still fell for her during their time together.
If Haley makes a miraculous comeback, that could open the door to Tripp’s feelings for her reigniting.
It would complicate Wendy’s romance with Tripp and finally show her what it’s like to have some competition.
Bottom line, there’d be some intriguing story directions to take if Haley Chen returned, so maybe Days will make it happen sooner or later.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Li could use a path to redemption, so maybe reuniting Melinda and Haley could be a good deed for him to do.
