Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that fans are still grieving after hearing about Bill Hayes’ (Doug Williams) passing. Hayes brought so many viewers joy with his wonderful portrayal of Doug, so he’ll definitely be missed.
Fortunately, Hayes had already filmed a couple more Days appearances before he passed away.
DOOL fans will still get a little extra time with Doug due to the show filming things multiple months in advance.
However, Days will eventually need to write in Bill Hayes’ demise and give his character a moving sendoff – just as they did for John Aniston as Victor Kiriakis.
Of course, that means there’ll need to be a funeral and hopefully some big returns. Both Hayes and Doug deserve a lovely tribute after so many years on Days.
Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) was Doug’s daughter, so plenty of fans are hoping she’ll make an appearance when the time is right. Will Kristian Alfonso return to honor her TV dad?
It’s too early to say, but it’s clear that Alfonso adored Hayes based on her social media response to his passing.
On Instagram, Alfonso insisted that “Billy” would forever be in her heart and thanked him for welcoming her with “warm open arms” from her first day onward.
Hayes gave Alfonso a lot of love and support over the years, so she offered her gratitude.
“How completely blessed I was to work with you to know you to learn from you . You were a true Icon . My heart is broken Love You,” Alfonso said in her post, which included a sweet pic of her with Hayes.
It’s easy to see how much Kristian Alfonso enjoyed working with Bill Hayes, so she may be willing to come back for his tribute.
It just wouldn’t be the same if Hope didn’t show up for her father’s funeral service.
Hope will eventually face some heartbreaking news when she gets updates on Doug being gone.
Maybe that’ll pave the way for Alfonso to slide back in the role of Hope and bring her home to Salem.
