Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera) and his wife, Julana Dizon, have something to celebrate. The couple’s new daughter came into the world on December 18, so Ava Rey certainly got a warm welcome.
Boatman made a post on Instagram about Ava’s debut and clearly seems elated about being a father. Let’s look at what Boatman had to say about little Ava’s arrival.
“Christmas came early this year,” Boatman said. “We are so in love with our sweet baby girl, Ava Rey, and can’t wait to see what this next stage of life will look like for the three of us. #girldad”
In an interview with People, it was revealed that Ava’s middle name holds special meaning.
“Rey” was chosen to help honor the memory of Dizon’s father, Reynaldo Dizon, who lost his battle with lung cancer in November.
DOOL fans know Boatman for his role as Johnny DiMera on Days, but Dizon has also appeared as a Forrester model on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Since Dizon is a real-life model as well, she was a great fit for the part!
Now Boatman and Dizon are embracing their most important role to date as parents, so we wish them nothing but the best on their journey as Ava’s mom and dad.
Once Boatman made his Instagram announcement and offered updates on his new bundle of joy, many of his Days costars offered their congratulations.
Brandon Barash (Stefan DiMera), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Raven Bowens (Chanel Dupree), Dan Feuerriegel (EJ DiMera) and Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez) all posted sweet messages under Boatman’s post.
Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton), Stacy Haiduk (Kristen DiMera), Lucas Adams (Tripp Johnson), Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) and Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) chimed in with congratulatory comments, too.
As for what’s next for Johnny in Salem, he has an important milestone of his own coming up. Days spoilers say Johnny will propose to Chanel soon, so they’ll gear up to tie the knot again if all goes well.
Of course, Johnny will also have to worry about Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) since she’s on the verge of an overdose and a hospital crisis, but Holly will pull through and make a full recovery.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ will also tackle some drama related to Clyde Weston (James Read), so there’ll be some big news going on with the DiMera household.
