Courtney Stodden is revisiting some history!

The media personality brought things into perspective for fans by blasting Bethenny Frankel for “mockingly” interviewing her on her eponymous talk show back in 2013.

Stodden’s reaction was prompted by Frankel’s take on the Kardashians altering the way their bodies appeared in pictures. The outburst has elicited various reactions from Stodden’s fans, who have followed her story from way back when.

All appeared well in the world on September 2 until Stodden came for Frankel following the latter’s take on the Kardashians’ “irresponsible” photoshopping, which she claimed was “unfair to women.” Not one to accept that argument, Stodden took to Instagram to post two throwback pictures from her time on Frankel’s show in 2013. Through the caption, the 28-year-old ranted:

“How are you @bethennyfrankel for girls/women when you made me feel so mocked on your show when I was 19? I canceled all my other interviews in nyc and immediately returned back to LA crying my eyes out.”

Stodden added that “The Real Housewives of New York City” did not “try to help” her, allowing “members of her audience to laugh at me.” This move from Frankel hurt the then-teenager so much that it caused “insecurities, depression which added to MY own eating disorder.”

The beauty pageant contestant also wrote that the 51-year-old’s comments were “just hypocritical” as she felt like she “had to say ‘”I don’t read or write” when she was mockingly asking about my book.” Stodden finished the lengthy caption by recounting how close she was to tears halfway through the interview, noting that it was “something I haven’t forgotten but I am fine I just can’t deal with the championing women ???”

Although the posts’ likes were hidden, hundreds of people took to its comment section to note their displeasure at Frankel. Speaking to Page Six on the event, Stodden — who came out as nonbinary last year but uses pronouns, she and they — said:

“It honestly doesn’t make me feel great to re-live such a traumatic moment, but I wanted to point out the double standard of which she lives by.”

The “Celebrity Big Brother” star pointed out that she would not invite a guest to her show to make fun of them. Her reason for that would be that how a person is treated, sticks with them because “words matter.” During the said interview, Frankel had likened the then-teenager to a stripper and pornstar because of her fashion choices — in the TV host’s words, Stodden looked “very promiscuous.”

The “Reality Ex-Wives” alum, who believes the host’s comments were both harmful and hypocritical, stated, “If she insinuated the Kardashians aren’t role models for young women, would she say her behavior is the example of a role model?”

Frankel reached out to Stodden via her Instagram DMs, which the latter shared with her followers. After claiming that she rewatched the problematic interaction, the mother-of-one said that how people presented themselves was a part of their “branding and marketing,” and her guest was “certainly marketing” herself differently then.

She then wished Stodden luck before continuing, “If something I said upset or stuck with you, I’m sorry.” Frankel finished her lengthy message by trying to take credit for how Stodden turned out.

You would recall that Stodden became famous in 2011 as the “child bride” after 50-year-old Doug Hutchison married her when she was 16. When she appeared on Frankel’s show, the then-teenager was in an off-period from her turbulent on-again-off-again husband – who was an acting coach.

In August, The Blast reported that Frankel shared her unfiltered thoughts about Skkn with her followers. In a TikTok video she uploaded, the twice-divorced celeb informed viewers that she was only using two products — the exfoliator and the undereye cream — because they are the ones she is most familiar with.

Frankel then referred to brands promoting their entire line as “a smash and grab” before pointing out that everybody’s skin differs from day to day. Thus, there is only a need for the basics.

Before the two-minute clip ended, “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart” runner-up declared the undereye as a “bulbous” product that she did “not understand.” Frankel joked that unless a person lived in a “circular house” or owned “a circular medicine cabinet,” the product’s container would roll around everywhere.

As for the exfoliator, the author concluded that its packaging was “impractical.” Although she gave Kardashian props for the micro white granules in the mixture, Frankel noted that other brands were doing it for less money.
