Country music star Lainey Wilson has been racking up fans and followers on social media in recent months thanks to viral posts like the one below.
Performing at the Stagecoach Music Festival in California over the weekend, videos of both Wilson getting ready for and performing the show racked up thousands of likes and hundreds of thousands of views on Instagram.
While the 30-year-old Wilson released her first album in 2014, she really began to receive national attention last year when she landed the role of Abby in Season 5 of the hit Paramount Network series Yellowstone.
In addition to her self-titled debut album in 2014, Wilson has also released the albums Tougher in 2016, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ in 2021, and Bell Bottom Country last year.
Wilson has also been nominated for a couple of CMT Music Awards, such as Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Things a Man Oughta Know and Video of the Year for “Never Say Never.”
Following the release of Bell Bottom Country, Wilson experienced a massive breakthrough in the country music community as she racked up six nominations at the CMA Awards, including Video of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Song of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year, and two wins, as she took home award in the latter two categories.
In addition to Stagecoach, Wilson also made an appearance in Kansas City during NFL Draft Weekend, which was held at the city’s Union Station.
At the time of this writing, Wilson has over one million followers and counting on her Instagram account, and it certainly isn’t difficult to see why.
