A family member relayed the details to Fox News Digital that a large tree branch fell on top of the stand-up comic and several other festival-goers.

“He was fit, healthy, happy and had everything going for him. He was charismatic, funny, passionate and so very loved by [his partner] Hayley, his family and his friends all over the world,” the family member told the outlet.

According to French media, Tony was the only casualty in the accident.

Tony’s longtime partner Hayley Wright’s sister organized a GoFundMe in honor of the entertainer to help with medical bills and funeral costs.

As of July 5, the fundraiser had raised over $8,000 of its $20,000 goal.

Before his death, Tony was preparing to head out on a comedy tour in the UK in the coming months.
