Coheed and Cambria have shared a new standalone track ‘The Joke’, taken from their ‘Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind’ album sessions.
The track is paired with b-side ‘Deranged’, previously released in 2011 as part of the Batman: Arkham City soundtrack.
Both songs were mixed by Zakk Cervini and will be released together on 7″ vinyl.
Speaking on their latest release, singer Claudio Sanchez has shared:
“The meaning behind ‘The Joke’ is basically, “if you need a punching bag, I’ll be that guy.””

Coheed and Cambria will tour the US in 2025, co-headlining dates with Primus before heading out as special guests to Incubus.
