Christian McCaffrey is speaking out to explain why his Carolina Panthers teammate Cam Newton didn’t score an invite to his wedding to Olivia Culpo.
The 28-year-old NFL star married the 32-year-old Miss Universe winner a couple weeks ago in Rhode Island after more than four years of dating.
While there were plenty of football players in attendance, Cam wasn’t one of them. He called out Christian during an episode of his 4th and 1 podcast.
“Damn, C-Mac, I couldn’t get an invite?” Cam asked. “Is it because of the Brock Purdy beef? Was Brock there?”
Christian responded to the comments on Instagram.

The football star explained that he hasn’t gotten a text back from Cam in four years and doesn’t think he even has the star’s correct phone number. Christian wrote out a conversation he had at the wedding with former teammate Greg Olsen.
He wrote, “Me: *Talking to Greg at the bar “This was a great night, but you know what would’ve made it even better?.. If Cam were here. I haven’t got a text back in 4 years. In fact, they just go green now.”
Christian and Cam got into a back-and-forth in the comments section of the post and discovered that Christian hasn’t had the correct phone number for years.
