Cher’s Son Elijah Fighting His Famous Mother Over Conservatorship

Cher & Gregg Allman’s Son Elijah Blue Files For Divorce From His Wife

Elijah Blue Allman is fiercely opposing his mother Cher‘s attempts to file a conservatorship for him and appoint a temporary conservator for his estate.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Elijah claims he was not adequately served papers and, hence, has been unable to prepare appropriately for the conservatorship hearing scheduled on January 5.

The 47-year-old notes that he “naturally” opposes his mother’s plan to file a conservatorship for him and that he and his legal counsel plan to fight Cher in court.

Elijah has taken legal steps to stop his mother from filing a conservatorship for him.

In a recent court document obtained by The Blast, the singer noted that due to the way he was served papers regarding the hearing on January 5, he wants the court to deny his mother’s “ex parte,” which would have allowed the hearing for his conservatorship to happen without his input on the matter.

Elijah said, “While I did receive an e-mail copy of some petition and related documents on December 31, 2023, even if I had accepted service by e-mail that was not five court days before the hearing, and I have yet to receive or review the Confidential Supplemental Information that has been filed by [Cher].”

He also claims that he disregarded the e-mail of the petition because he did not “recognize the sender’s address.”

I receive a great volume of electronic mail and did not at the time it was received recognize the sender’s address. I therefore did not review the documents or appreciate their nature when they were received,” Elijah added.

He concluded that he’s ready to properly battle his mother over the conservatorship in court, which he “naturally opposes,” but that her present “ex parte” should be dismissed.

In a recent court document obtained by The Blast, Cher complained that she has been unable to see her son and that it is necessary that a temporary conservator be appointed for her son Elijah’s state due to him not being in the best mental state to manage his finances.

“Elijah Blue Allman is entitled to receive distributions from a Trust, but due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues, Elijah is not currently able to manage his finances,” the document read.

The singer further alleged that she is “concerned that if such distribution [of funds] were to be made directly to Elijah, such fund will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting his life at risk.”

Cher then emphasized that a temporary conservator must be appointed for her son’s estate to “receive the distribution owed to Elijah so that such funds can be held and managed for his benefit.”

The singer also claimed in her court filing that her son’s wife, King, was not notified about her petition because she feared her daughter-in-law would take steps to “prevent” her from “locating” and “serving” Elijah, which would have made him unaware of his conservatorship hearing to be held today, January 5.
