Cher performed a duet of her iconic song Do You Believe in Life After Love?

Jennifer donned a skin-tight sheer diamonte bodysuit with fringing at the bottom which looked like a skirt.

On top, she donned a black satin jacket.

Cher dressed similarly in a diamond-encrusted top with black cargo pants.

Her brunette locks were lightly styled and she wore a face full of makeup.

The singers held hands on stage and gave a huge performance to the live audience.

Some fans thought Jennifer overdid her part and tried to overshadow Cher on stage.

At the end of the performance, Jennifer screamed a high note while Cher stopped singing and looked on.

“ICONIC Cher and Jennifer Hudson #iHeartAwards2024,” a user captioned the performance after they uploaded a video to X, formerly Twitter.

“Cher is the most gracious woman in the world to stand there and let that nobody scream over her like that,” wrote a fan.

“That scream at the end was just so unnecessary… I wanted to hear more of Cher, added another.

“Cher couldn’t believe it at the end,” said a fourth.

“Seriously, chill Jennifer, why are you trying to upstage Cher?” asked a fifth.

Cher’s performance came after a difficult beginning to the year, after she revealed her son could harm himself from substance abuse.

The star’s son reportedly went missing, but returned for a court date.

Cher had previously filed court papers begging to be made his temporary conservator, as she fears for his safety.

HELP!

Court documents contend the singing superstar’s youngest child suffers from “severe mental health and substance abuse issues.”

She alleged in court papers her son’s drug addiction has left him “unable to manage his own financial resources.”

Cher shared her fear that if Elijah were to be given full access to a trust fund, worth thousands of dollars, he would blow all the money on drugs.

“Due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues, Elijah is not currently able to manage his finances,” A petition to a Los Angeles court read.

Elijah Blue is the son of pop icon Cher and her ex-husband, singer-songwriter Gregg Allman.
