Cassyette has shared brand-new single ‘When She Told Me’ – the latest release from her forthcoming debut album, ‘The World Fucking Sucks’.
The new album arrives August 24 via 23 Recordings, and was announced at the start of this year by the towering two lead singles: ‘Ipecac’ and ‘Why Am I Like This?’.
Its latest single ‘When She Told Me’ continues the singer’s run of potent releases – have a listen to the track below.
Speaking about the basis of the track’s pained lyricism, Cassyette has explained:
“‘When She Told Me’ is about the moment my mum told me we lost my dad. It was the worst moment of my life. My vision literally flipped upside down.
“I didn’t find out until recently that this is a stress response where your body is about to shut down. It felt unexplainable and this song is as close as I got.
“If you know this feeling this is for you.”
The release of the third track follows a sensational start to the year for Cassyette, which included her tour support of Bring Me The Horizon on their UK arena tour.
Last month, the singer also enjoyed a co-headline tour of the United States alongside YONAKA.
Next month, she’s embarking on a mammoth UK and European headline tour of her own, beginning in Cardiff on April 01 and amassing 17 dates across Europe.
This comes ahead of her tour support for Bryan Adams in June.
