Cardi B remembers her husband Offset’s cousin Takeoff nearly two months after his death.

The rapper’s family and fans were thrown into despair when news that he had been shot and killed outside a Houston bowling alley early last month. Takeoff, Offset, and his uncle Quavo previously made up Migos, the hip-hop group known for multiple hits, including “Bad and Boujee,” “Walk It Talk It,” and “Stir Fry.”

Cardi B Calls Takeoff A ‘Sweetheart’ In Recent IG Story

Cardi has never been shy to share her feelings about specific career and private life occurrences. The “WAP” hitmaker has especially felt pain since Takeoff’s death on November 1, and she has updated her millions of followers on it.

She recently did so again when she posted a picture of the “Open It Up” rapper with his dreads pulled together with a hair band. He appeared to have taken a puff as smoke covered a part of his face.

The black-and-white shot, uploaded to Cardi’s Instagram Story, also showed Takeoff — real name Kirsnick Khari Ball — wearing at least three different necklaces.

The “Tomorrow 2” rapper wrote, “Such a sweetheart truly unbelievable,” above the image, which celebrity artist Kevin Wong captured.

This would not be the first time Cardi publicly addressed her feelings about Takeoff’s death. In an Instagram post timed to her in-law’s November 11 funeral, the “Up” rapper had penned:

“Takeoff, your untimely passing has brought a great deal of pain and sorrow to so many lives. The impact you had in this world was so considerable, and we have struggled to grasp this tragedy.”

Per The Blast, she also admitted that even though she was “heartbroken,” she was still “grateful” for the memories and priceless moments they shared during his time on earth.

“This has truly been a nightmare, and the pain is incomparable,” the mother-of-two confessed before highlighting how her husband and Quavo were handling the loss in the wake of his demise.  In Cardi’s words:

“The emptiness your brothers are feeling is unbearable, and I pray that you give Offset, Quavo, and your friends and family the strength to keep going as they are trying to cope with this loss.”

She then stated her belief that “angels send signs and beautiful dreams to loved ones to assure them that they’re watching them and they’re okay and happy” and urged the late rapper to “send your mom some of those.”

The “I Like It” hitmaker concluded her lengthy tribute by promising to remember Takeoff’s “remarkable talent” and his “dope a** personality.”

Cardi then concluded, “I pray that you are at peace and in paradise because you deserve every bit of it. I know God opened the heavenly gates for you with a warm embrace. Rest in power, TakeOff. I will also love you 4L & after.”

With over 3.5 million likes and counting, the “Hustlers” actress received support from her fans. Some celebrities even took it a step further, commenting on the post.

Lizzo revealed that she was praying for Cardi and her family, while B Simone applauded her for the “beautifully said” tribute.

Others like Niecy Nash, Lil Kim, Chance The Rapper, Emily B, and Safaree dropped multiple praying hands, dove, and heart emojis.

Last month, The Blast reported that Cardi divulged details of her family’s normal following Takeoff’s passing. The “Hustlers” star explained during an interview that although she and Offset were on the road to living their lives normally, it has not been easy.

“We’re living our lives normally, but deep down inside, our hearts have been so heavy,” the “Please Me” rapper stated before admitting her hesitance to publicly address her family’s pain.

According to her, talking about that heaviness was a bad idea for her because of the internet’s desensitization and her disinterest in turning her loved ones into sympathy cases.

Cardi additionally noted that while she and her loved ones are “no charity case,” trying to cheer up Offset had become a difficult task, confessing:

“No lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy, Trying to make him crack a smile.”

In fact, the 30-year-old had seen her beau “randomly cry” about losing his cousin. It also did not help that the twosome was trying to fulfill their parts by being present at work while coming to terms with their new reality.
