Caitlin Clark Dunks on Michael Che During Surprise SNL Appearance

Caitlin Clark may have lost out on winning a National Championship, but she received a nice consolation prize: dunking on SNL Weekend Update anchor Michael Che.

Clark ribbed Che by showing a reel of the numerous women’s basketball jokes he’s made over the years. She then had Che take part in her own form of a joke swap: “The Indiana Fever have the first pick in this Monday’s draft,” read Che from the cue card. “A reminder that Indiana Fever is a WNBA team and not what Michael Che gave to dozens of women at Perdue University.”

In a callback to one of Che’s previous jokes, Clark then presented him with a signed apron. “I can’t wait to give this to my girlfriend,” Che quipped, to which Clark responded, “You don’t have a girlfriend, Michael.”

Clark’s appearance was just one of several notable moments from this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Host Ryan Gosling also spoofed Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” with Emily Blunt, starred in a hilarious Beavis and Butt-Head sketch, and appeared in a sequel sketch to Papyrus.
