Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson has announced a revamped band lineup for his upcoming solo tour in support of his new album The Mandrake Project, as well as a warm-up show set for April 15th in California’s Orange County.
The warm-up gig at the Observatory in Santa Ana is actually the only US date on Dickinson’s 2024 itinerary thus far. It will precede a Latin American jaunt that kicks off a few days later and a UK/European tour set to launch in May and run all the way through July. Tickets for the Santa Ana concert go on sale via Ticketmaster on Tuesday (February 20th) at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster, while tickets to the international shows can be purchased here.
Dickinson also revealed that his solo band has experienced a change since he originally unveiled the lineup. Guitarist/producer Roy Z is no longer available to tour, but guitarists Philip Naslund and Chris Declercq have been added to the band, which also includes Dave Moreno, Mistheria, and Tanya O’Callaghan.
“Sadly, and with regret, guitarist and producer Roy Z will no longer join the band on tour due to some personal commitments,” explained Dickinson. “He will remain in LA to work on some re-mixing and re-mastering of the catalogue. We all know the show must go on though, and this project is too important to everyone to not be the very best it can be.”
He added, “I’m gutted about Roy because he assembled most of the album and touring band, introducing Mistheria & Dave Moreno to the project and mentoring guitarist Chris Declerq. I’m so excited about what both Philip and Chris will bring on stage together and now my only ambition is to grab a little piece of the audiences’ hearts every night.”
Regarding the warm-up gig, Dickinson stated, “We’re not afraid of doing some growing up in public, so this show will be a close to a rehearsal as you can get – it’s exciting to think what these musicians can do – and will do, when there are over one thousand fans in the room!”

The Mandrake Project is set for release on March 1st, and features the previously released singles “Afterglow of Ragnarok” and “Rain on the Graves.”
