To be fair to Brittany, she did not ask Randi to come to her defense. The latter was asked about the former at NFL Honors in Las Vegas on Thursday night.

Randi, mother to Jackson and Patrick Mahomes, spoke with Page Six about her daughter-in-law’s friendship with Travis Kelce’s girlfriend. She said that it is the real deal!
It’s hard at this point to meet people that are true and real and they kind of found each other. They really, I mean, talk all the time and they’re like, really good friends.

Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift have become very close over the past few months. Their friendship began at a post-game party during the regular season and they often hit the town for girls nights in New York. Apparently it extends beyond what we see in the headlines!
Good for Mrs. Patrick Mahomes. Randi also said that she has seen the pair’s “bond grow” throughout the fall and into the playoffs, even though there are people on the outside who love to hate.
As for her first impression of Swift, the elder Mahomes matriarch was most surprised by her stature.

Randi said that all of her interactions with Swift have been pretty normal even though she is the world’s biggest pop star. And she is very glad to have her at the games, despite the negative narratives.
In her eyes, Swift’s presence has helped to grow the game that her son has dominated in recent years.
