Brittany Mahomes offered her fans a behind-the-curtain (and robe) peak at her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo shoot.
The 28-year-old Texas native, married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared a behind-the-scenes look at her SI Swimsuit shoot on Instagram. The fashionista makes her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2024 Rookie class, featured in the magazine’s 60th-anniversary issue released on May 17.
The video showcases Brittany’s arrival at the tropical Belize shoot location, clad in a pink sweatsuit. It captures her transformation in the hair and makeup chair and her striking poses in an array of fiery red swimsuits. At one point, Mahomes coyly laughs as she shows off her tiny red bikini bottoms under a black robe.
The aspiring swimsuit model chose Taylor Swift’s song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” from her recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, as the soundtrack for her video. Ever since the pop icon began her relationship with Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Swift and Brittany have developed an extremely public friendship, often seen supporting their partners together in the stands.
Last month, the power foursome enjoyed a night out at Easy’s Cocktail Lounge in ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas. This outing followed Kelce and Swift’s support for the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Vegas Golf Classic held at Shadow Creek Golf Course from April 27-29, aiming to benefit children’s health and wellness and support communities in need.
When SI dropped photos of Brittany back in February, many online critics said she only landed the gig because her husband was a Superbowl Champ quarterback.
Brittany seemed prepared for the pushback, though. “Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself,” Mahomes told Sports Illustrated before the images dropped.
“People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters.”
Meanwhile, Brittany herself is amazed that she was chosen to be part of the iconic photo spread. “I’m truly just so humbled and still in disbelief,” Brittany Mahomes admitted Sports Illustrated back in February.
