Rimowa's suitcases have earned cult status for travelling in style

IF there’s one thing we can learn from celebrity airport outfits, it’s how to travel in style – luggage included.

Paris Fury loves her personalised Louis Vuitton suitcase and British influencers all have that white marble suitcase with their initials emblazoned on.

But there’s one premium suitcase brand that reigns supreme with its £1,070 hand luggage pieces and £1,830 trunks.

Enter, the Rimowa Original Suitcase Collection – one of the most iconic luggage designs of all time.

The aluminium pieces have distinctive grooves, TSA-approved locks and “telescopic” handles.

But what do you do when you want to travel in style without spending thousands on a silver case?

Luckily, you can turn to B&M for dupes.

The British budget store has dropped three Rimowa Original dupes in sizes of 55cm, 67cm and 77cm.

Like the real deal, they have vertical grooves, four wheels and an unmissable silver finish.

Dubbed the Silver Fashion Suitcase, each one is well over £1,000 cheaper than the luxury version it is meant to dupe.

The small sizes will set you back £40, the medium size £55 and the large version £65.

Eagle-eyed shoppers raced to social media after spotting the dupe in B&M stores, urging others to “run, don’t walk” if they want to look luxury for less.

Natalie Mc shared on TikTok: “B&M bringing us Rimowa style suitcases and I am here for it.”

However, not everyone was a fan of the dupes – with some critics claiming they “look nothing like” the real deal.

“Babe, have some respect on our Rimowas,” Salma Yusuf said.

Another person feared that “they’ll scratch a treat”, while a third penned: “But now they’re in B&M, you know everyone’s gonna have them.”

Rimowa suitcases have gained visibility through endorsements by celebrities and influencers like Molly-Mae Hague, Cara Delevigne and Rihanna.

The Wall Street Journal dubbed the craze as “snazzy-suitcase culture” due to the volume of celebrities and influencers being snapped at airports with luggage worth more than a month’s rent.
