Baba Vanga, real name Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, was a blind Bulgarian clairvoyant slash soothsayer slash psychic who is reported to have predicted the 9/11 attack as well as the war in Ukraine.

The “Nostradamus of the Balkans,” as she was often called, actually died in 1996 at the age of 85, but she left behind numerous predictions of the future using her powers of precognition.

One such prediction which has suddenly become relevant is her warning that the end times will commence in in the year 2025.

Baba Vanga, who also reportedly predicted the death of Princess Diana, the Chernobyl disaster and the election of Barack Obama as President of the United States, claimed the end of the world will actually come in the year 5079, but it is the events of 2025 that will precipitate the apocalypse.

A timeline of her predictions which lead to the end of the world is as follows:

2025: A conflict of some sort in Europe devastates the population of the continent.

2028: In dire need of more energy, we start to explore Venus as an energy source (despite the fact that the planet is a hellscape with an atmospheric pressure 92 times that of Earth with a mean temperature of 867°F).

2033: Climate change causes the polar ice caps to melt, raising sea levels dramatically around the world.

2076: Communism will spread across the world, taking over numerous first world countries.

2130: This is the year we finally make contact with aliens.

2170: Now climate change has caused a worldwide drought.

3005: We get into a war with some form of a civilization on Mars. (Perhaps one of Musk’s plethora of children will be running Elon’s Mars colony by then?)

3797: Earth will become inhabitable, forcing all humans to leave the planet and find a new home elsewhere.

5079: All bets are now off and the world officially and permanently comes to an end.

Or, she could be completely wrong about all of that.
