Bill Maher Fires CAA After Oscars Party Snubbing: Report

Someone get Bill Maher a safe space for his libertarian snowflake tears: the Real Time host reportedly fired his longtime talent agency, CAA, after he didn’t receive an invite to CEO Bryan Lourd’s pre-Oscars party.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Maher was left off the guest list for the A-list party, which took place at Lourd’s home last Saturday night. Those who were in attendance included Vice President Kamala Harris, Disney CEO Bob Iger, Barbie star Margot Robbie, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, and J.J. Abrams, among others.

THR says the slight left Maher “furious” and led him to fire CAA, his agency of more than two decades.

Prior to Maher firing CAA, the agency negotiated him a new two-year deal with HBO to continue hosting Real Time through 2026.
