The drama between Beyoncé’s mother and Jackson began 24 hours ago when fans noticed the matriarch liked a post about the “Rhythm Nation” singer’s ticket prices. The Instagram user called out the icon for charging a hefty sum for VIP tickets when her production fell short compared to that of Tina’s daughter per TMZ.

Beyoncé and Jackson’s fans responded to Tina’s involvement with heated back-and-forth arguments, as many believed she agreed with the post’s criticisms. The former manager of Destiny’s Child called for a ceasefire in a new post, assuring both sides that she never meant any harm.

The House of Deréon founder shared her side of the story in an Instagram reel, stressing that with her industry knowledge, she wouldn’t slam any singer, let alone come after a legend like Jackson. In her words:

“First of all, being on the other side of that, I know better than anyone what a great production cost and that it’s expensive, and I would never criticize another artist, let alone Janet Jackson, who is the queen of production.”

Tina’s praises continued with calling the Jacksons “the first family of music” and noting she will always “love and respect them.” Despite her sweet words, the 70-year-old did not apologize for liking the shady post but expressed regret over her actions.

According to the “Cuff It” singer’s mother, she wasn’t the type to be embroiled in negative publicity. Unfortunately, she was drawn into this drama because of her negligence in liking posts without checking them.

“So, what I am guilty of is liking posts, going through when I’m in a big hurry and I don’t have time to really read, and liking things because I trust that these are people that I follow,” she explained before promising there won’t be a second time.

“That was a big mistake. I will never do that again. So, I just want you to hear it from my mouth that I would absolutely never do that,” she concluded the video. The matriarch echoed similar sentiments in the post’s caption, doubling down on her love for Jackson with the words:

“I am saddened by this. Janet Jackson is an icon, and I would never question another artist. I took Destiny’s Child to see Janet when they were 15 years old. They always looked up to her, and she opened doors for Beyonce. Why would I hate on her?”

“I know now not to be in a rush and to be very careful. (I learned my lesson) ! Especially when I have so much going on,” Tina continued. “I just wanted to clarify. I do know that you can see people’s likes, so I would be pretty dumb to do that.”

Fans React To Tina Knowles’s Video With Supportive Comments

Tina’s clarification of her speculated beef with Jackson generated numerous supportive comments from fans. Many accepted her reason for liking the shade post, with one IG user writing:

“Who hasn’t accidentally liked something while scrolling? Everyone. People look for negativity with a magnifying glass. So classy of her to explain lovingly.”

“I love that Momma Tina be clearing folks and getting things straight because Bey gone leave yall on ‘READ’!” another joked. A third teased the matriarch’s quick resolution of the drama, claiming: “Beyonce called you in a hurry and said ‘Momma what you doing’ lolol.”

“Everyone Knows Mama Tina Love Janet And The Entire Jackson Family……. Y’all Need To Knock It Off!” a fan warned, with a fellow supporter echoing: “You don’t owe anyone a single explanation!!!”

More fans cheered Tina with sweet comments and assured her they understood the dilemma of liking posts without double-checking their content. An individual penned:

“We are all guilty of liking stuff so quickly without reading the caption or finish watching the whole clip or reel just because we are showing love & trust it’s positive coming from that individual’s page.”

Another sweetly chimed: “And the ONLY reason you should be trending right now is for being this d— gorgeous and FLAWLESS at 70 years young! That’s why they really mad!”
