Ayesha Curry is heating up Jamaica in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the wife of NBA powerhouse Stephen Curry shows off her amazingly fit figure in a bathing suit while vacationing on the tropical island. “Grounding,” she captioned the Instagram post with her millions of followers. “Ayesha out living her best life,” one of them commented. “Love this for you,” added another. How does the cookbook author and lifestyle entrepreneur approach health and fitness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.
Ayesha discussed her approach to exercise with Harper’s Bazaar’s Food Diaries. “Fitness wasn’t really a part of my lifestyle and I’d say the past year and a half—post having all of my kids—it’s really become a staple for me and it helps me have mental clarity. I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life,” she said. “I find that I’m happier when I work out. And so I do try to work out at least five days a week.”
“These past two years, since I turned 30, I’ve started to consider how food can really make a difference in the way that I feel and look. My career is in food and I’m a firm believer in eating what you love. I’m not a dieter. For me, it was really about learning how to exercise portion control and living that 80/20 life,” Ayesha dished to Women’s Health.
Ayesha tracks her activity with a Fitbit Versa 2, a tool that helped her lose 35 pounds. “My Fitbit truly helped me figure out my health and wellness and navigate through this journey.”
Ayesha consumes a lot of liquids. “Typically, I have a glass of hot water with some lemon in it,” she told Women’s Health. “I love it; it warms me up and makes me feel good.” She follows it up with lots of fluids throughout the day, in order to keep herself from snacking. “I usually sip on water or herbal tea until dinnertime,” she told Women’s Health. “I’m an herbal tea girl. I love anything with lavender and chamomile.”
Ayesha infuses her coffee with healthy fats. “I do a version of a bulletproof coffee with a little bit of ghee and a little bit of MCT oil,” she added to Women’s Health.
Ayesha loves to cook, so allows herself a cheat meal once a week. “I always have a day a week where I’m in the kitchen and just preparing something new and fun and indulgent,” she told Women’s Health. “It really works for me; I always have that day to look forward to. It’s the best day ever every single week.”
“I have to keep my workouts exciting and fresh and different,” Ayesha told Women’s Health about exercise. “Sometimes it’s biking or high-intensity interval training, others it’s a jump rope workout or a workout on the Fitbit app.”
