On the same day he decided to poke fun at Taylor Swift’s appearance, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown also decided to take shots at First Take co-host Shannon Sharpe.
In another set of bizarre tweets with the hashtag #CTESPN, which has become Brown’s de-facto trademark in recent months, the 35-year-old former pass catcher compared Sharpe to Rex from the Toy Story franchise.
“I can’t explain why, but this reminds me of Shannon Sharpe,” Brown tweeted alongside a photo of Rex, who has been voiced by Wallace Shawn since the first Toy Story film in 1995.
Brown then followed that up with a side-by-side photo of Sharpe and Rex striking similar poses.
Brown began poking fun at Sharpe after the Hall of Fame tight end shared a video of himself visiting a chain liquor store to promote his Le Portier Shay cognac.
“Here for the final stop of the day, Total Wine. You can see the line, started over there. My last stop of the day. We got up early, had a late night. We don’t do excuses here. We just get the job done ‘cause this is what we signed up for,” Sharpe said in the video tha the posted to his TikTok.
Brown then reposted the video on his Twitter account, offensively mocking Sharpe by calling it “gay”. In his post about Swift, Brown said that she had a “body like a saltine cracker.”
The former Steeler, Raider, Patriot, and Buc also took shots at Tom Brady in recent weeks following reports that his ex-wife’s relationship with her new boyfriend began before they were divorced. Brown responded by posting a picture of himself and Gisele Bundchen hugging with the caption “Did AB know already” with a winking emoji.
Despite the barbs from Brown, Sharpe has yet to respond to him.
