During the December 8 episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast, Robach and Holmes discussed their potential wedding plans after a fan inquired about when they’d tie the knot.

Robach shared that when it comes to the topic of marriage, it’s not a question of “if” but “when,” expressing her appreciation for Holmes’ previous remark that he would be the one to propose.

“It’s not an if, it’s a when. I like that. I actually appreciate that,” Robach said. “T.J., you told me that I should never propose to you.”

She continued: “Remember, we were talking about women proposing to men? But I’m just saying that if I answer this, I feel like that’d be kind of in part me saying when I would like to get married.”

“We don’t have a date, obviously, and we haven’t even decided what we’re going to do, But because if I said I want to and I’d like to in the fall [and], that would be akin to me proposing to you,” Robach noted, per People Magazine.

When asked if they were considering a fall wedding, Robach playfully nudged Holmes to answer the question.

Holmes responded with a laugh, saying: “I say that because we’re not trying to figure things out.”

He explained: “We are not trying to see if we want to be together. We’re not trying to do a trial run to see if this thing can work. That’s not where we are. So the decision has been made to spend a life together.”

Holmes added that marriage was simply a “byproduct of what’s happening,” noting that “it’s coming.”

Robach echoed his sentiment, saying they’ve discussed marriage but “haven’t talked about a wedding. And there is a difference between the two.”

In September, Robach revealed that she and Holmes were not in a hurry to get married.

“There is no urgency in the sense that I’m 51 years old. I don’t need to rush into anything,” Robach said, per Page Six.

Reflecting on her past, Robach admitted, “I think I have rushed into everything in my life up until now. But, he knows I wanna get married, and I know he wants to get married.”

The former ABC news anchor, who began dating Holmes in 2022, assured their podcast listeners that they’re on the same page when it comes to their future.

However, While they frequently talk about marriage, they’ve chosen not to set a definitive timeline.

“We haven’t put a timeline together, and we talk about it all the time,” Robach stated. “I don’t think a week goes by where we don’t discuss like, ‘Should we? Should we?'”

Robach and Holmes’ recent comment about marriage comes more than two months after they confirmed they were living together.

The couple first shared an update on their cohabitation during the September 30 episode of their podcast, when Holmes revealed they have officially moved in together, alternating between their apartments, which are within walking distance of each other.

According to People, Holmes noted that “living together” works well for their early morning routines.

He noted, “I’ve enjoyed the time that we’ve had together. It’s been a little different but I’ve liked it … where we know where we’re going to end up every night instead of having a plan.”

When Robach referred to their living arrangement as a “trial run,” Holmes humorously remarked that he was trying to find “something wrong” with it.

They both agreed that the temperature in their apartment was a bit of an issue, often being “too cold” or “too hot.”

Despite these minor annoyances, Holmes assured listeners, “Other than that, we’ve been good.”

The couple, who began dating a year ago after finalizing their divorce from the former “GMA3” anchors, made their red carpet debut on December 3 at the 2024 Grassroot Soccer World AIDS Day Gala in New York City.

Shue dressed in a black suit without a tie, while Fiebig wore a black silk dress. The event marked a significant moment for the couple, who have been enjoying their new romance since the end of their respective marriages.
