Now Mike, 59, has vowed to “fight another day” in a positive new post on his Instagram Stories.

The reality star took to the platform on Tuesday to record himself as he tried to start an old Harley Davidson.

The TV personality spoke to the camera as he stood outdoors in 28-degree Iowa weather.

“Alright, we’re gonna try to start this 39 ULH, it hasn’t started in months. It’s cold as s**t here in Iowa so we’re gonna give it a shot.”

Mike then walked over to the motorcycle where he began to try to crank the vehicle and get it running.

“And no, it hasn’t been started before this moment,” he reassured skeptical followers.

The American Pickers star struggled with the machine, trying for minutes to no avail and letting out several grunts of frustration.

In a second clip, Mike approached the camera once more and held out his arms as he displayed the Harley finally running.

The father of one hopped on the bike and revved the engine, showing off the success of his hard work.

The TV star then proceeded to drive off on the motorcycle, leaving his phone behind as she headed toward a beautiful sunny lake view.

He captioned the post with an encouraging message, reading: “She’s ALIVE!!! The old girl lives to fight another day. Amen @harleydavidson.”

FAMILY TIME

Mike’s positive note came just days after he returned home to spend time with his rarely-seen daughter Charlie.

The controversial star uploaded an Instagram post on Thursday from his hometown of Leclaire, Iowa – about an hour and 30 minutes southeast of Cedar Rapids.

The photo showed three women walking along a street at dusk with their back’s to the camera.

All three ladies wore causal clothes, including an older woman wearing a long puffer jacket to keep warm.

Mike captioned the post: “These simple moments mean so much to me. My daughter my niece and my mom. Just walking and talking I love to watch them interact with each other.

“Being back in Leclaire Iowa is how I recalibrate. This little town along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River will always have my heart.”

He continued: “My first @antiquearchaeology store is here along with dozens of other beautiful independent retailers.

“This main street is part of the @greatriverroad there’s so much history. Come explore and see what @visitleclaire Iowa has to offer.”

Mike did not tag the women in the picture, but fans were glad to see his rarely-seen daughter, Charlie, as they seemed to spend the holidays together.

RATINGS STRUGGLE

The reality star’s family escape came amid American Picker’s plummeting ratings.

The show returned on Wednesday, December 27, at 9 pm EST on the History Channel.

Ratings for the previous season struggled, as The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed the August 23 episode brought in just 620,000 viewers, the lowest of the season.

The August 16 episode had 706,000 people watch, while the August 9 episode had 778,000.

Ratings went up after that for the July 26 episode with 885,000 viewers watching.

But for the July 19 episode, just 713,000 people tuned in, while 803,000 watched the July 12 show.

Before the ratings took a dip, The U.S. Sun reported 918,000 viewers watched the premiere episode.

In the season prior, ratings were up and down.

The March 8 episode of American Pickers brought in 844,000 viewers.

That was up from the week before, as only 711,000 viewers watched the March 1 episode.
