INFLUENCER Alix Earle has opened up about a traumatic experience from her school days and fans say it’s the exact same story that Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper previously shared.

She shared her journey with taking Accutane, a drug that’s used to treat severe acne and she often gives updates on her skin.

In a clip on the PuraU TikTok page (@purauofficial), Earle recalled how she once wore makeup to cover her acne in middle school but was told by a teacher to remove it.

“So as my acne was starting to get kind of bad in middle school, my mom was like ‘You know, I’m just gonna help you out a little bit here, girl,'” she said.

“I didn’t really know anything about makeup yet at this point but she would put some concealer on my face.”

Earle said that walking into school wearing makeup to cover her acne made her feel good about herself for the first time, however, her teacher pointed it out in front of the class.

“She calls me up in front of the class and tells me I needed to go to the bathroom and wipe off my face with the makeup,” said Earle.

She said that the moment made her embarrassed and she remembered trying not to “burst into tears.”

However, some fans were confused because Earle’s story was similar to an experience that podcaster Alex Cooper detailed.

Cooper is a host of the Call Her Daddy Podcast and she has more than 1.6 million followers on TikTok.

In a different video reposted on the same TikTok page, Cooper explained that she wore concealer to hide her acne while in school but was also similarly called out by a teacher.

“She comes over to the entire class and looks at me and goes, ‘Alex, you’re wearing face makeup. Go to the bathroom and wash it off,'” Cooper said.

Cooper explained that during the ordeal she was “trying to hold back tears” as she scrubbed the makeup off to the point that her skin was inflamed.

Viewers of the videos were quick to point out how similar the two experiences were.

“Didn’t Alix Earle tell this story,” wrote a commenter. “Word for word?”

“I heard another girl say the exact same thing, huh?” another person said.

A viewer replied: “It’s not a similar story, it’s the exact same lmao.”

A third person wrote: “Is it weird she and Alix Earle have the same story?”

And PuraU responded: “This is Alix Earle! Alex Cooper has a similar story. It’s so common.”

However, others who have also struggled with acne said they had similar stories.

“This was honestly so traumatic as a kid to receive this treatment from teachers. I get it. Been there got the T-shirt,” one person wrote.

Another viewer said: “This literally happened to me when I was 14/15 and the teacher said ‘I know you have bad skin but you should let it breathe.'”

And a third person wrote: “Triggered. Teachers would call me ugly for wearing makeup, but really I was just SO upset and insecure about my skin.”

The videos showing Earle and Cooper saw hundreds of comments from viewers who sympathized with the pair.
