Alanis Morissette Plays "You Oughta Know" on Austin City Limits

Alanis Morissette has made her first-ever appearance on Austin City Limits, and it’s an exciting one! The upcoming hour-long set features many fan favorites, including eight cuts from her landmark album Jagged Little Pill. In anticipation, Consequence has an exclusive preview of her performance of the hit “You Oughta Know,” which you can watch below.

The singer sounds just as intense as she did when the song was released nearly 30 years ago. Morissette wrings every bit of rage from the track in a truly electrifying performance. “You Oughta Know” initially made waves for its pointed lyrics, and they remain just as powerful here. The song is roaring and raucous, and she propels it forward with driving on-stage radiance.

Morissette’s debut on Austin City Limits is set to premiere in full on Saturday, February 17th at 8:00 p.m. ET on PBS. It will be available to stream immediately following the initial broadcast.

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of Austin City Limits, which began in October 1974 with a performance by Willie Nelson. The program will celebrate this anniversary with year-long extras like archival gems, fan activations, all-star tapings, a PBS special, live concerts, and more.
