Kagney Linn Karter was a popular name in the adult film industry who passed away by suicide, as per media reports. Her friends have organized a fund-raising campaign for her memorial services. She was only thirty-six years old. She was also active on her social media handle a few days ago, sharing pictures and videos.
Karter was born in Texas and was raised in Missouri. In 2007, she won the state’s Deja Vu showgirl honor with her erotic dancing skills. Karter moved to California to pursue acting and singing as her career. She started working as an exotic dancer, which resulted in a fall-out with her manager, and after some time, she started modeling after signing a contract with LA Direct Models. She joined the adult film industry in 2008, and one of her first stints was with Johnny Sins. In 2012, she became a part of BBC’s documentary film Twilight of the P*rn Stars by Louis Theroux.
According to TMZ’s reports, Kagney Linn Karter passed away on February 15 by suicide, and her death was reported four days later. She often posted moments from her pole dancing sessions on her Instagram handle. Her last post was made on February 11; she was in a bikini, and the caption, “Hi From Florida,” was written. According to reports, her friends have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her memorial services to support Karter’s family, her mother and sister. They had a target of about $8000 and they have already reached $6000 as of now. The studio owners stated on the page that she suffered from mental health issues.
They wrote, “Unfortunately, despite all of her many impressive accomplishments and talents, Kagney struggled with mental health issues as the years passed by. Even in her darkest days, however, she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, and better herself in whatever small way she could manage. Her final class with us was February 7th, less than two weeks before Kagney tragically took her own life in her home.”
Kagney Linn Karter’s fund-raising page also stated, “Although a small blurb on GoFundMe will never be enough to share the brightness of Kagney’s soul, we will try our best.” Part of the funds would go to a local animal rescue charity.
