Netflix has announced Adam Sandler is set to film a new comedy special for the streamer to be directed by Josh Safdie.
Marking Sandler’s second Netflix comedy special, the currently untitled follow-up to 2018’s 100% Fresh will see the comedian reunite with Safdie after they collaborated on the critically acclaimed Uncut Gems.
Sandler has been churning out a steady stream of films under his Netflix deal, recently starring in the upcoming drama Spaceman, animated comedy Leo, coming-of-age comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, and basketball film Hustle. He spent much of 2023 on the road for a standup tour.
Meanwhile, the comedy special marks Josh Safdie’s first announced project since his brother Benny confirmed they have split up as creative partners.
