The All My Children star who died suddenly on Friday night shared his last Instagram post four days before his untimely death.
Alec Musser, 50, was best known for starring as Del Henry on All My Children, which ran from 1970 to 2013.
Musser’s death was confirmed by his fiancée Paige Press in a series of heartbreaking Instagram stories.
He died in his home in Del Mar, California, reports TMZ.
In his last post, Musser was seen hydrofoiling in the ocean at sunset.
The caption read, “Silhouette by Baja Winter Twilight.”
Friends and fans of Alec have used the comments section to pay tribute and offer condolences to his family.
“RIP Brother Alec… We will surf together again my friend… May God bless you in your new adventure of heaven… Prayers and love out to family,” one friend wrote.
Another shared: “We miss you, my friend. RIP.”
A third friend commented: “I’m in shock brother. You were a dear friend and will always be remembered. Enjoy those perfect heavenly waves and powder runs.”
Press paid tribute to Musser through a series of heartbreaking social media posts.
On her Instagram Story, Press wrote, “RIP to the love of my life. I will never stop loving you. My heart is so broken.”
“Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy,” she continued.
“You were the best fiancé I could have ever asked for. I don’t think I can drive my wagon anymore.”
The cause of death is still unknown.
He was born in New York City on April 11, 1973, and grew up in New Jersey, Connecticut, and San Diego.
The soap star joined the cast of All My Children in 2005.
He graduated from the University of San Diego and starred in several other films, such as Road to the Altar, Rita Rocks, Grown Ups, and Desperate Housewives.
Before getting involved in acting, Musser worked as a model for Abercrombie and Fitch.
