AC Bonifacio always wanted to be a singer and a performer, ever since she was young. She was able to fulfill her dream at last through her first musical series “Lyric and Beat.”

“I believe that’s what I’m doing now. I’m really living my dream and hoping to just keep on inspiring and at the same time naggo-grow pa rin po ako (I am still growing). I’m still trying to learn and to have this new series is a new experience for me that hopefully I am able to inspire new people,” she said during the face-to-face press conference for the series last Tuesday, July 19.

“I never got to experience face-to-face high school. I did middle school back in Canada. And it’s definitely been my dream to perform. Hindi naman po kailangang maging artista (You do not need to be an actor) or anything but I just want to perform around the world and inspire people to do what they wanted to do,” she added.

Bonifacio plays Cadence, a strong-willed aspirant who is the best friend of Darren Espanto’s Jazz character. She acknowledged that since she came from the reality show “Dance Kids,” this also paved the way for her inclusion in “Lyric and Beat.”

“Coming from ‘Dance Kids’ it’s definitely been a different journey for me and being able to do the show with them, [it is like] I am reminiscing when I was young,” she recalled. “Kind of reminiscing the time that we didn’t get to do kasi I hindi ako nakapag-in person high school (because I was not able to do in-person high school). So it’s nice to be able to do that while still doing what I love to do which is performing.”

“Lyric and Beat” also stars Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Kyle Echarri, Awra Briguela, Jeremy G, Angela Ken and Sheena Belarmino. It streams on iWantTFC starting Aug. 10. JB
