ABC will be airing a special version of Beauty and the Beast later this year to celebrate the beloved movie’s 30th anniversary.
Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration will be a “reimagining” of the 1991 animated movie. The special will blend animation and live-action performances. While it will be taped in front of a live audience, the special is not slated to air live.
Oscar and Grammy-winning entertainer H.E.R. was previously announced to be playing Belle. Now, more cast members have been confirmed for the special.
The special will air on Thursday, December 15 at 8/7c on ABC and will stream on Disney+ the next day.
