The new FX series about Aaron Hernandez has been going viral in recent days for its comical portrayal of New England Patriots stalwarts such as head coach Bill Belichick, owner Robert Kraft, and tight end Rob Gronkowski.
First, last week, a scene depicting the New England Patriots NFL Draft “war room” when making the decision to draft Hernandez went viral for its absurd rendering of Belichick and Kraft, with the scene being compared to an “SNL skit” that makes the movie “Draft Day look Oscar-worthy.”

Then, the following episode has gotten similar viral traction for its outrageous take on longtime Patriots tight end and future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski, who was famously drafted the same year as Hernandez.

American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez is actually the second sports-focused FX show to get clowned on this year for its soap-opera level production, as Clipped, the series about former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, was also mocked for similar reasons.
