Singer Anji Salvacion of Squad Plus learned the lyrics of “All At Once” by Whitney Houston as a young girl in Siargao, when her mother taught it to her. She was instantly enamored by it that she wanted to be a singer herself.

Salvacion was just a grade three student then, she shared during the online press conference for her first major concert, “Feels: The Concert.”

“[When I sang again] in public, in a contest, I was already a grade eight student,” said the “PBB Kumunity Season 10” celebrity housemate and Star Pop artist.

Salvacion was also influenced by her grandmother when it comes to singing, listening to the music of Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong and the Carpenters.

“[Because my grandmother is fond of] old songs. There’s some songs that I know [that are] classics but I don’t know the singers,” she said.

When asked to describe her dream performance, Salvacion said she wishes to show a part of her dear Siargao in her concert. She added, “I wanted to bring my whole family in my concert and I want to sing with them all.”

Salvacion recently dropped her self-written first single “Dalampasigan,” which represents her memories of spending time at the beach in Siargao, as well as the comfort of her childhood with her father.

VIP and regular tickets for the ABS-CBN Events-led “Feels: The Concert” on April 30 are still available at KTX.ph, at P399 and P199, respectively. The SVIP tickets, which include a behind-the-scenes documentary of the concert, have already been sold out. JB
