Universal has unveiled a new trailer for Twisters, its upcoming sequel to the 1996 disaster thriller starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. The new spin on the franchise (pun very much intended) features a cast of rising stars including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, and Kieran Shipka, as well as Superman himself, David Corenswet, and TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe.
But of course, the real stars of Twisters will be the tornados wrecking havoc — including one that quite literally catches on fire. Watch the newly revealed trailer below.
Twisters, directed by Lee Isaac Chung, is set to open in theaters on July 19th, 2024.
