There were many times over the years that it appeared Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa were bound to break up.
But despite all the odds, they’ve stayed together over the years.
But the 90 Day Fiance cameras have stopped rolling, leaving fans wondering whether they’ve been able to keep their relationship out of the danger zone.
Are Asuelu and Kalani still together?
On top of the visa itself, Kalani and Asuelu’s lives were brought together in the most permanent way possible: they had children together! That means that no matter if Kalani divorces her husband, he’ll always be the father of her child.
But that’s not the only way that Asuelu will stay in Kalani’s life if they divorce.
Kalani explained her situation to her family in a recentHappily Ever After.
“I’m serious about divorce being an option,” Kalani shared to her family.
Unfortunately, her father Low, is on the hook if this happens – because he signed to have financial responsibility for Asuelu during the Visa process.
“Obviously when I had my dad sign that, I could’ve sworn on my life that we would never get divorced,” Kalani shared.
“I feel like I was so in love with him and so wrapped up in our romance that we had at the beginning,” she shared.
Of course, there is one way she can get around this: if Asuelu leaves the country.
“I would hope that if we ever got divorced that Asuelu would go back to Samoa,” Kalani shared.
“If he stayed around, it could turn out to be a nightmare,” she shared, adding, “We’re at a fork in the road now.”
“It’s either I’m gonna be a single mom and be with my kids,” Kalani shared, “Or I’m gonna stay married to Asuelu.”
Though their relationship seems to have improved since then, now Asuelu is revealing how much money he’s sent to his family over the years.
