Available on December 30th, “Mad Max: Fury Road” is a perfect watch for this time of the year, keeping you pumped up as we drift through this strange time between Christmas and New Year’s. Starring Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, the film follows Furiosa and Max as survivors who reluctantly band together as they drive through the Australian wasteland.
Five Nights at Freddy’s (Hulu)
Based on the popular video game, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” follows a security guard working at an abandoned pizzeria. One night, he discovers that the restaurant’s animatronic mascots are being possessed by murdered kids, resulting in some scary yet incredibly fun set pieces.
The ball drop in Times Square
Watching the ball drop in Times Square is one of the most popular things to watch on New Year’s Eve, granting people a countdown and some performances as they wait to ring in the year from the comfort of their home. There are many channels and programs you can tune into, including “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” on ABC, “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen,” on CNN and “New Year’s Eve Live: Nasville’s Big Bash” on CBS.

Released in 2000 and starring Jim Carry, “How The Grinch Stole Christmas’ is one of those Christmas classics that have become a tradition in many households, following the Grinch, a green recluse that lives on a mountain with his dog Max and absolutely hates Christmas.
Gremlins (Max)
Lastly, if you’re in the mood for something a little spooky that’s also set in Christmas, “Gremlins” is streaming on Max. The film follows a teen who receives a strange creature as a pet, who, when it’s exposed to light, spawns into aggressive yet adorable little monsters.
