Ever wondered how she maintains her stunning physique? Discover seven ways AnnaLynne McCord stays in shape, with photos that showcase her effective fitness strategies.
McCord shared her favorite exercises in an interview with Women Fitness. She says that she makes sure to do things that she actually enjoys. I always preface my answer to this question with the fact that a huge percentage of a person’s aesthetic is genetic. Working out for the sake of working out is not my thing. But I love Tae Kwon Do, yoga and a healthy love-life to cover muscle training, flexibility and cardio, respectively.“
McCord revealed to Women Fitness that one of her secrets to healthy eating was finding out her allergies and intolerances. “I do not have a strict diet, but most people aren’t aware of the fact that allergies to food is one of the big causes associated with obesity. I had no idea I was allergic to gluten. I have since cut that out and it has altered the look of my body. It appears more tone without having changed anything else in my regimen.“
McCord tells Women Fitness that she makes sure to be confident when it comes to her work. “I’m currently thankful for my youthful naïveté and invincible sensibilities, they brought me through trials and over obstacles one with lesser blind faith perhaps could not have surmounted. I have recently begun to draw once more from that well-spring of confidence; seeking wisdom from that younger me as I look to make some drastic changes in my career and personal life in this new year. Concerning my ‘journey up until this point’, I gained notoriety initially from my time spent on Ryan Murphy’s Nip/Tuck. My experience there was superb. It’s such a wonderful thing working with elite talent on an acclaimed show.”
McCord tells Women Fitness that one of the things that is important to her is empowering women. “I love seeing women empowering other women. We often grow up conditioned by society that other women are our sworn enemy and we sadly cut one another down when we could stand as a united front having each other’s backs. I love this site, as it is for the women and by the women. It is a platform for encouraging women to be the best humans we can be. Fitness is not just body shape it’s a lifestyle and the site does a remarkable job covering pretty much everything as is left of what women are concerned with. I think it’s really great.”
McCord shared her favorite workouts in a 2011 interview with SELF. She says that she likes to spend time outside to stay fit. “I’m not necessarily the gym girl, I’m not the treadmill girl–I like to do things that are outdoorsy. I always hike Runyon Canyon in LA with my sisters. I love when I can do something where I feel like I’m in nature and I’m getting a workout.“
McCord likes to do martial arts to stay in shape. She shared her favorites with SELF. “I just started doing , where I work with a grandmaster, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Both of these have been really cool, new ways for me to do something that keeps my attention because they’re different and interesting.“
McCord talked about her diet in her SELF interview. “I follow my cravings,” she said. “I’m very aware of when I’m hungry, and I only eat until I’m satisfied, not until I’m full. So, for example, I’ll wrap up the other half of my food, which helps me only eat what my body actually needs at that moment.“
