Kate’s trainer, Ben Bruno, opened up about the model’s wellness routine in the caption of this Instagram post. Kate does a combination of strength training and weights. “She likes to lift heavy weights (hates anything over 6 reps haha),” Ben wrote.  “That’s what we do most of the time, but we also do some cardio 2-3 times a week, either after strength workouts or on separate days. The cardio is a mix of higher intensity intervals and lower intensity steady state work.”

Despite Kate’s busy schedule, she always makes time to workout. “Consistency is the name of the game, and Kate is the model of that,” Ben wrote in his Instagram caption. “She sets an amazing example for women to follow, and I’m so grateful for all that she’s done to promote strength training for women because it means a lot more coming from someone that looks like her than from this hairy Italian.”

Kate tells FOX News that she mostly eats organic, whole food. “For me, food is fuel,” she explains. “What you’re putting in your body is what your body is going to give back to you. So if you’re looking for energy, a better mood … or strength, you need to know what you’re putting in your body. It’s not just about counting calories. I always look to eat organic. Vegetables are a big part of my diet. I also really like lean protein. Once you detox from preservatives and refined sugar, your body will tell you what it needs.”

When it comes to working out, Kate says long-term goals and big things to motivate her. “Small things can be big motivators,” she told FOX News. “But if it’s just to fit into a certain size or see a number on a scale, it’s going to be a short-term plan. If you find a bigger reason in your life … whether it’s to set a good example for your child, to have more energy, or to feel stronger and more capable, or to let out some anger or frustration — if you find bigger things, it’s easier to make that a part of your life and your lifestyle.”

Kate does eat a healthy diet. However, she does believe in indulging once in a while. “Nutrition wise, she doesn’t deprive herself or overdiet,” Ben wrote in his Instagram post caption. “Which can work in the short term but always comes back to bite you in the long run. She eats protein at every meal and also eats plenty of fruits, vegetables, and healthy carbs (the heaviest carb meals are usually after strength workouts). She splurges a couple times a week but usually dials that back before shoots.”
